It's that time of year...

...when we celebrate our district's best and brightest!  As someone commented on the previous thread, it's "time to celebrate retirement and milestones of friends and colleagues".  Congratulations to all our honorees, and thanks for all you do for our students!

I have done Referance checking of my own on Popp. I wonder if the BOE did OOPS I guess not very revealing.
More to come. I guess the BOE again will say they just moved forward.

I tried to find info on AEEF and found this: http://www.kanecountyguide.org/index.php/component/cpx/?task=resource.view&id=724466&search_history_id=599668
with a map of Guadalajara attached??

Funds were mismanaged by friend of Barriero so Annette took over to 'clean things up' I choose to give $$ directly to students fundraisers or sponsor a student. This organization, in my opinion, is NOT a well established group. Nor does it have a good rep in it's immediate past history.

AEEF truth is Clayton got things screwed up again because he never checked the PO Box and the AEEF was not getting notices from the State.

Clayton then missed a PO Box bill from the post office and got the PO Box shut down. He never returned the key.

Just like the computers that got returned with nothing on them by Clayton.
Just like taking the district Facebook account with him and using the list for himself at the City. He then used the 5000 names on the City list.
Just like using the district Webmaster Vision Friendly to work on B2M and hiding bills.

Clayton represents another fine part of the past.

I agree with you that the district teachers should just hire Glink. I am sure it would cost far less to hire Glink than what we pay in union dues. It is also obvious that we would get much better bang for our buck.

One thing is certain, Glink would not back down from the district the way our union does.

Lots of BIG NEWS to appear soon here! Share your frustrations and maybe Popp will get it one of these days. Can't believe his "Brain Trust" is Glotzbach and Beatrice. Doesn't there track record warrant removal of their position. Won't happen because they just know how to
play the School Game to their benefit.

Maybe Jennifer Gentile will fight Joan a little harder. I am glad she was elected. She had to get away from Glozabach she drove everyone her department crazy.

Yet again no reference checks on employees handling 100 million budget and Joanie is allowed to continue. Popp is more spineless than Roberts and as new Superintendent you would think he would have liked to visit all the schools and meet the teachers. Meaningless words at Red & Black don't cut it Dr Popp.

We need a new board and hopefully they will take on the role of hiring a Superintendent seriously.

Central office said...

Central Office is a mess. Popp only listens to Glozabach and Reyes Childress. The blame game is on and many are getting thrown order the bus. The administrators that are getting thrown are the ones that are smarter or present a challenge to their stupidity. Popp also lacks the depth to advise many issues.

Many good administrators are looking too bad.

More news will break that will show the new superintendent as a questionable hire. It will show he is not on top of Childress Reyes and Glozabach.

Also, the BOE never checked his references at 204 . He also knew how to play the tenure game. It is also why the new administration of 2004 was getting rid of him. Follow his record very interesting.

CO Buzzing

Popp is making some moves that are very questionable patronage is running ramped and money is being spent on high priced administrators like it was going out of style.

Teachers step up and get yours the new administration has plenty to spend

Nobody is watching the store. So how about the board?
No they are to busy getting their own as well.

Big story coming out soon concerning the Business Department (are you surprised)!!!! It will involve another administrator which will be a "Big Time" embarrassment to EA. When will Joan Glotzbach get it right. OOOPPPS I forgot she is an "Untouchable" in Popp's eye and can do no wrong. This story will be worth following as it develops!!!!!

So far no stories. Can't wait for this BIG LIE to be revealed.

Great!! Now lets make arrangements for both of us to do this. I am sure my husband will welcome the extra money.

Lets wager shutting down the blog because .

Of course that will not happen because the story that will break will show another major screw up by Glozabach.

The other story will show Popp hiring a long time friend with no qualifications other than he will put the finger on teachers. The teachers have now become the new excuse of Childress. See the district knows the prelim. Test scores are not good. Last year nobody talked about them because all the admins said they were new. This year they are worst. So now the excuse is we have bad teachers.

The real story is teachers spent the year going to meetings outside the classrooms. If the board had half a brain they would look at Sub hours paid this year. I don't know how horse stories from Carla Johnson or team building sessions from Childress helped the district but that's what was going on. So now it's the teachers fault.

What will Popp do nothing because Childress and Joanie are his brain trust.

Great EA Alumni. I guess you will have to tell me who you are.

Yep all the admins have been saying with glee wait till the Danielson evaluations come in it won't matter how good you have been for 20 years because we throw all that out and decide your entire fate in the 55 minute 'snapshot' If we don't see it,it isn't happening. If you read the dc meeting minutes.. their whole teacher hiring rationale is how they will "fix" the high school by hiring "good" teachers. The principal is having all the admins read the book "What Great Principals do Differently" which is nothing but pointing the finger of blame at teachers for the problems public schools are facing. Let's not look at social issues, the gangbanging, the fact that the economy is in the toilet, the few resources teachers have at their disposal. All I see are teachers bending over backwards, working late hours helping students, getting up and trying each and every day to make a difference in their students lives; being warm and nurturing. And all we get in return are admins breathing.

All those who are blaming the new superintendent for our problems are clueless about how a good district operates. A school district is not supposed to be a dictatorship or kingdom, with one ruler/small group running everything. The most effective districts are more like a sports team, with the administration in the role of captains or coaches who support and encourage the players (in this case, teachers and staff).

If Dr. Popp is smart he will step back and refrain from micro-managing like some of his predecessors. He impresses me as someone who is diplomatic and fair (so far), and I doubt that we need to worry about him bullying our teachers.

Popp said...

Long time you have not worked with Popp but so far he has been a finger pointer. He has not been to all the buildings and is getting bad advice. So far he appears to be worst than Roberts. Time will tell but he does not have very good experience.
