Shades of Gray

A lot of us have been less than thrilled with the weather lately; it seems like it's been one cold, gray day after another. And yet my neighbor (who teaches at a middle school) notices that her students concentrate better and work harder in this kind of weather. Maybe they're less likely to be distracted by the sight of sunny playgrounds and bike trails outside their classroom windows, or maybe the sound of rain and wind has a calming effect--but for whatever reason, the lousy weather can turn out to be a blessing in disguise in some situations.

Sometimes situations (like the weather) are neither terrible nor wonderful, but somewhere in between. Often the answers aren't black or white, but shades of gray.

Atually the Chairman of the RNC is now Reince Priebus. Michael Steele has been out since January. He was a terrible chairman and only got the job because he was about the only black person the GOP could find when a black man became president. They needed someone to bad talk the president and anyone else would have looked liked a racist.

Weaver did try to get rid of Roberts, but Johnson and Lewis wanted to keep him and they get what they want by promising the other members something. That is why Roberts is still there. One person cannot do it by theirself especially when the community is not there to back them up. We wh go to meetings are aware of this, or at least those of us who pay attention.

When we elect people like Robb Hill who never goes to a meeting do you really think he is going to make a change. He did not even show up at his first finance meeting.

As for keeping Roberts I bet Johnson & Lewis are not singing his praises this year.

Lewis should, she got a favor from him.

Lewis is a disappointment as far as a board member. I thought she was going to make sure the taxpayers money was spent wisely but I guess when you get favors you look the other way.

Its funny how one question can silence all the non sense.Lies , and rumors can't answer legitimate questions. Okay, lets go back the other stuff is funnier. Have fun!!!!!!

I am lost...... what "one question can silence all the non sense.Lies , and rumors can't answer legitimate questions?"

The one question is are you the board really looking after the students and taxpayers money or are you looking away while administration misuses it?
Why does the board look the other way when they and administration goes against board policy.

The article is on school district with poor records of hiring. Maybe the new Board needs to investigate why Jerome Roberts was not allowed to fill out the school year in Calumet Park they let him go in Feb 2004 I wonder why. I was written in a newspaper. The tax payers are owned a reason maybe he is doing the same thing here. The Board should at least look.

11:22 a.m., don't you think the Board looked into why Dr. Roberts left his previous jobs? I remember that there were several other candidates for superintendent--and there was a detailed process of evaluating each one before they narrowed it down to Roberts and a Hispanic guy. The School Board picked Dr. Roberts, and you can bet they dotted all their "i"s and crossed all their "t"s so they wouldn't end up with another one like Radakovich!

I am inclined to say he may be as bad. Two Dr. R's!
Lets go outside the district and get someone with no "buddies" or backs to scratch next go around.

Radakovich was the one the(old) board wanted when they hired him. He did exactly what the board wanted him to do. This same board is the one who hired Roberts, so therefore they probably did not check into him as well as they should have. He has not done anything at all for this school district except to cause dissension between thr teachers and administration, get high raises for doing nothing and making more admin postions not needed, creating admin postion for Clayton with a very high raise that was rectroactive and also for Deann Admans. There are other admin posttions that were created and one was for Joan. Gonzales postion was created because of her actions so she would not be teaching anymore.
