Continuing the discussion...

The topic of the previous thread (our district's image) must have struck a nerve with a lot of folks--there have been more than 200 comments in a relatively short period of time. So I (the co-administrator, and originator of the past several topics) decided to refresh the discussion. Oh, and don't forget to VOTE next Tuesday!

Let the deceivers pay for their lies & the election. Isn't it some sort of "Crime" to file papers knowing fraud is being committed.

Isn't someone paid to monitor or check validity of, not all, but some of the candidates filing information?

I know very talented students, and look at the messed up school board. This is such a joke. I just wonder what the school board President Annette Johnson must be feeling right now. This was something she didn't even have a say so, and now Annette Johnson and others in administration have to clean up this mess. I truly wish you the best!! This is costing the tax payers money, because I'm sure they have to have legal council involved, not to mention they can't even proceed as a board they don't have a quorum....sad for Aurora.

8:41am Please how are the deceivers going to pay for their lies when they are on the well fair sytem. It always falls on the tax payers and that is a given. I am a tax payer and I work very hard for my money I am not about to agree for another election that is rediculous!!

The administration is responsible for doing background checks on everyone associated with the school district. They should have verified the facts and done a background check to make sure the candidates had a clean criminal history.

Once again, the incompetence of this administration is going to cost this community both in dollars and reputation.

The administration has nothing to do with elections that is the responsibilities of the Secretary of the Board but from what I hear they don't check anything about the candidates which seems funny to me. There should be someone that checks to make sure.

The district doesn't really check the residency of the students why should they do it for the canidates.

As a voter I do feel deceived that they didn't check and how will this all turn out?

So much for improving the image of the district.

The candidates get a packet when they first decide to run. They need to get the signatures required and file by the due date. All this information goes to the district and than filed with the Kane County Clerks Office. I wonder how come they did not check the residency of the candidates, and here is the thing what the fact that she was not even a voter???? This is a huge question mark. Wow here vote for me, but I cannot even vote for me, or anyone else. This is such hypocricy, it makes my stomach churn!!

Mary Fultz actually lied under oath when she signed the papers saying she was a voter and a resident. It is sad that the States Attorney has not been brought into this being she signed documents saying this. I imagine the district has put money into legal bills as well not to mention the people who voted for her. I am sure they voted for Hill and her for all the wrong reasons but come on. These are the same people who voted Wells in all these years. How sad people don't take the time to find out who is running for the Board. Fultz should be charged with a crime end of story.

April 7, 2011 5:56 PM - I was @ the meeting and underdstood Mary F. complaint to be on behalf of spanish speaking parents who claimed the sign posted in spanish did not translate into the same message as intended.
So now there ya go-this is how so so many untruths get spread. Only thing for sure is what was posted on the marquee @ the school.
Innocent individual perceptions:
*what the parents complaint was to Mary
*how Mary relayed it
*how you heard it
*how I heard it
*how it was transcribed in the minutes.

It's not just an EA problem.
Parent involvement is not just a campaign bullet point, it's a real issue. Spending more money is not the answer.
EA admin has discouraged parents by way of ignoring their service, replying to their questions with rhetoric and minimizing their concerns.

Fultz should have spent less tine looking at the sign and more time registering to vote she cost the residents their right to a clean election.

If I was a candidate that lost I would be asking someone like the Regional Superintendent or States Attorney how this will work out. Don't depend on this district to tell you the truth about how things should go.

First Mary Fultz now Robert Hill if you look up 105 Loucks St the address he gives he does not even own his own house in fact this house is on a list of properties that gets rent from the housing authority. He will be making choices for tax payers but is not one himself. What did we elect?

Good or bad, you don't have to own property to be on the school board. Just live in the district.

Lisa hands out the packets to the ones who want to run. She is the one that then gets them back. She is the one who contacts the paper, etc.
